About the Movement

A vision for a new Gambia: united, just and prosperous.

Strengthening the foundations of democracy

Project PROGRESS is more than a political movement. It is a national renewal agenda anchored on transparency, accountability, inclusivity and innovation. It exists to dismantle systemic inefficiency, restore integrity to public service and build a country where opportunity is not reserved for the privileged few.

PROGRESS will revive constitutional reform, entrench term limits, protect fundamental rights, depoliticize public institutions and ensure that public resources serve development rather than partisan reward.

Why PROGRESS exists

The movement was created to respond to a national demand for leadership that is serious, disciplined and honest about the scale of reform The Gambia needs. PROGRESS believes political power must be treated as public trust, not personal entitlement, and that every policy should be judged by whether it improves the daily life of citizens.

01

Our method of change

We combine principled leadership with practical delivery: lean institutions, measurable targets, transparent public finance, community participation and a government culture that rewards competence. Reform must be felt in the village, the school, the clinic, the market, the workplace and the justice system.

02

A citizen contract

PROGRESS asks citizens to move from frustration to organized participation. We invite young people, women, workers, farmers, entrepreneurs, professionals and Gambians in the diaspora to help build a movement that listens, learns and acts with urgency.

What we are committed to

Practical commitments that turn values into measurable public action.

01

Clean public service

A state where hiring, procurement and promotion are guided by merit, value for money and public interest.

02

Decentralized opportunity

Development that reaches villages, towns and regions through transparent local priorities and accountable delivery.

03

Economic renewal

A country that produces more, wastes less, supports enterprise and reduces dependence on imported essentials.

04

Social justice

A national agenda that protects dignity, expands opportunity and gives every Gambian a fair chance to contribute.
